45th International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology

ISSE 2022 "Electronics Technology Innovations towards Green Electronics"

11-15 May 2022 Vienna (Austria)

Invitation

The 45th International Spring Seminar on Electronics Technology is the premier European forum for the exchange of scientific information between young and senior scientists from academic communities and electronic industries.

The major objective of the conference is to support an exchange of experience in utilizing advanced electronics, micro- and nanoelectronics manufacturing technology, research, development, testing and teaching, as well as international cooperation and student exchanges, and supporting collaboration among junior and senior scientists from Europe and other continents.

With respect to the widespread efforts to reduce global warming the upcoming 45th ISSE conference follows the motto “Electronics Technology Innovations towards Green Electronics”.

Traditionally, the ISSE is held as a five-day conference, usually including a national cultural programme. During the past two ISSE events we all learned to appreciate the advantages of an online conference. Nonetheless, we hope very much that the pandemic situation will allow this ISSE to be held as Conference with both, physical presence, in the beautiful historical metropolis Vienna, and at the same time as an online event similar to the last two ones. The conference will be hosted in the picturesque hotel Springer Schlössl in Vienna, Austria, by the Institute of Chemical Technologies and Analytics, TU Wien.

The organizers are happy to announce that, thanks to our sponsors, participation in ISSE 2022 will be possible at reduced fees for all presenters and registered participants.

We hope that this new form of hybrid conference will even more satisfy individual wishes of attendees and help achieving a high standard with respect to the scientific level as well as to the hosting comfort.

You are invited to participate in this great occasion for sharing ideas, establish new contacts, and maintain old friendships. Please accept this invitation and send us your abstract until 16th January 2022. Abstracts will be fourfold reviewed by an international Technical Program Committee for technical merit, content, and clearness. It should be noted that the same high level of technical quality is required for the acceptance of a paper independent of the type of presentation (oral or poster).

(Details on how to write and submit your abstract can be found here.)

The classical ISSE conference presentation types are oral (appr. 20%) and poster presentations. In general, it is intended with care to arrange equal nearness to the conference flow for physically present and online audience. However, this condition cannot fully be realized for online poster presenters: Whereas regular papers can be presented by on-site and on-line presenters in very similar wise within a presentation time of 25 minutes, on-site and on-line poster presentations will be organized each in their own tradition in sequential and parallel session blocks (Authors will be notified about details on how to prepare their presentation along with the notification of acceptance).

Please define in the registration form which type of participation (on-site or on-line) you prefer and if you propose an oral or poster presentation. Papers which, by their subject, address a broader audience are typically selected for oral sessions. Papers with the same high technical level but addressing more detailed aspects (as e.g. PhD theses typically do) are often better suited to be presented as poster and discussed in small groups.

For almost two decades ISSE is technically co-sponsored by IEEE Electronic Packaging Society (EPS). The participating scientists can profit from getting their papers published by the renowned IEEE Xplore library.

Organizing the ISSE conference is a great honour, challenge, and pleasure for the organizers to promote high-level scientific research; we wish you to take full profit of this opportunity!
